Hector "Macho" Camacho's son says he'll be allowed to "fight for his life"

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico

Doctors have said Camacho is clinically brain dead. But relatives and friends have said they are still wrestling with whether to remove him from life support.

His son, Hector Camacho Jr., says he believes his father is still alive. He says, "My father is a boxer and we're going to let him fight for his life."

Two of Camacho's sisters have asked that he remain on life support until Saturday.

One of his aunts has said the family could decide by late today whether to donate his organs.

Some relatives and friends are continuing to pray for a miracle. Meanwhile, preparations have begun for memorials and a funeral mass.

Camacho was shot as he sat in a car with a friend, who was killed in the attack. Police have said officers found nine small bags of cocaine in the friend's pocket, and a 10th bag open inside the car.

Police have made no arrests and continue to interview potential witnesses.
