Montgomery County authorities said Jane Draycott officers were called to her home around 2pm Wednesday to take her in for her a mental health examination.
When they arrived, Draycott allegedly tried to flee and lock herself in a bathroom. Officers tried to catch her and a scuffle ensued.
Authorities said Draycott kicked the officer, causing bodily injury.
Draycott is charged with third-degree felony assault. She faces two to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 if convicted. She posted bond and was released from jail on Thanksgiving.
This is not Draycott's first run-in with the law. She was accused of stealing a DVD player, two movies and a bag of ice from a Walmart in Spring back in 2010. A judge ruled Draycott successfully completed terms of her plea deal and dismissed her case in January.
In 2009, a federal report stated Draycott was the victim of sexual harassment and a hostile work environment at HFD's Station 54. She and another firefighter said they found racist and sexist graffiti in their locker room area.
