It's amazing no one was seriously hurt this morning when an out-of- control SUV crashed through a fence and ran into a house in southeast Houston.

It happened on Seagull near Allendale. According to police, the driver lost control, drove through a fence and then rammed into the side of a bedroom of the home. No one happened to be in the bedroom at the time.

A family of five lives in the home. They described the moment as frightening and say it sounded like a big boom of thunder.

A resident inside the home spoke with the driver and asked him what had happened.

"He just said that a dog had run in front of him and it was slippery and he hit the house," said resident Jocelyn Moran.

The family inside the home was not injured. The driver was taken to Ben Taub Hospital. His condition is unknown.

It appears the SUV driver took out a street sign as well.
