Fresno hospital in need of breast milk donations

FRESNO, Calif.

Baby Nathan was born at 26 weeks at Community Regional Medical Center. His mom, Margarita Galindo, says she was unable to produce breast milk and was relieved when she found out CRMC has a milk depot on site.

The hospital was able to give baby Nathan the milk he needed. His mom says each day he is growing bigger and stronger. So far he's gained two pounds and she couldn't be more thankful for the wonderful gift.

"As a mom you want what's best for your kids and the fact that I wasn't able to provide that for him. I felt like a little bit of a failure there, but knowing there was that extra help provided by the hospital was really, really good," said Margarita Galindo.

Many new moms may not realize they can donate. Hospital officials say with close to 100 babies committed to intensive care every month. They're in constant need for more donations.
