The Fresno Police Department will have extra officers on the streets Monday evening as they try to keep drunk drivers off the road. Police are planning to conduct a sobriety checkpoint and adding officers to patrol duty. "We're at maximum staffing. But we'll also have 30 extra traffic officers just looking for DUI drivers," said Captain Andy Hall.

Those in the business of staying sober are also gearing up for a busy night. Sober Guys Inc. will take you and your vehicle home for a flat fee. "The phones been ringing off the hook and what we've been telling people for tonight is that we want you go give us at least an hour in advance and then be patient. It's basically going to be first come, first served tonight," said Sarah Everson of Sober Guys Inc.

The drivers at another driving service, We Be Sober, are also getting flooded with phone calls. They said reservations are going fast. "We hired extra teams. So I think we have about 20 people, about ten teams," said Michael Chaffey of We Be Sober.

AAA is also offering its Tipsy Tow service this New Year's holiday from 6 p.m.until 6 a.m. January 1. They'll tow your vehicle up to ten miles, free of charge. The Tipsy Tow phone number is 1-800-222-4357.
