"Reading with Marvel Comics" Book Drive

FRESNO, Calif.

Spiderman is helping Central Valley kids read with the generous donation of 20,000 books. To celebrate, ABC30 is teaming up with the Fresno County Sheriff's Reading Posse for the "Reading with Marvel Comics" Book Drive on Friday, January 18 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Action News will be live at the Sheriff's sub-station and we invite our viewers to come by and donate a new children's book. The Fresno County Sheriff's Reading Posse will distribute the books to children all over the Central Valley with help from their partners, the Fresno County Office of Education, Fresno County Public Library and Central Unified School District.

ABC30, Marvel, Disney XD and First Book are encouraging kids to read through "Reading With: Marvel Comics Close-Up," a series of videos that will debut on Monday, January 21 at 7 p.m. during the season two premiere of Marvel's "Ultimate Spiderman" on Disney XD. For additional information and free digital Marvel comics, please visit DisneyXD.com/comics.
