Church leaders in the Valley are trying to help their young members pursue a higher education.

Bethesda Apostolic Church in central Fresno hosted its third annual college day Sunday. Speakers were invited to talk about how to prepare for college and other helpful information. Organizers also held a reception for college students and professors after the service.

Pastors say they want to help local children prepare for their futures.

Youth Pastor Ryan Randolph said, "Our motto here is leading and loving people...Environment of education."

Throughout this month, CSU leaders will be visiting churches around the Valley for what's known as "Super Sunday."

Their goal is to educate students and their families about the importance of a college education and the resources available to help them.
