Fire in central Fresno leaves family without home

FRESNO, Calif.

Crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the attic, as the family of two adults and two children fled from the fire.

They say the fire started in the back of the house and spread from there. It affected about half the home, causing an estimated $50,000 in damage.

The Red Cross is now helping the family of four find another place to stay.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
