This year's competition was held at Sunnyside High School. And Action News Sports Director Tommy Tran served as Spell Master for the event.
FUSD School Board President Valerie Davis and city councilman Clint Olivier were the honorary judges for the spell off.
Each student trained extremely hard to prepare for this spelling bee.
Congratulations to Leah Whitehouse who won the spell off and Darian Marshall who came in second.
Both students will move onto the next round at the Fresno County spelling bee March 21st.
