Fire breaks out at recycling plant in northeast Houston

HOUSTON

Firefighters were called out to the recycling plant on Wallisville and Crown around 11pm.

When fire crews they arrived they found a 30-foot high pile of crushed cars and tires on fire. Firefighters believe the sun ignited the fire earlier in the afternoon and it grew overnight.

No one was hurt, and firefighters managed to get the flames under control.
