HOUSTON

The Greater East End Management District cleaned up it's 100,000th graffiti site Thursday. The graffiti abatement program has been operating since 2001. Since then, the district says they've seen a significant drop in crime -- nearly 20 percent in violent crime alone.

The district has four trucks specifically used for removing graffiti as soon as its reported.

The Greater East End Management District covers 16 square miles and borders Clinton Drive to the north, Loop 610 to the east, Telephone Road and Interstate 45 to the south and the Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad to Highway 59 to the west.
