New details from the 4-car pile-up in Hanford

FRESNO, Calif.

His three-year-old son was also injured in the crash but is now recovering. The accident happened around 9 p.m. between Hanford and Selma on Highway 43 near Cairo Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol says Victoria Robinson was driving south in the northbound lanes of the highway when she crashed into three vehicles. Other drivers stopped and pulled the victims out of the wreckage just before three of the cars caught on fire.

The crash killed Lara, but authorities say Robinson is in fair condition and will be booked for vehicular manslaughter.

Lara's family is remembering him as a loving family man.

Dante Rodriguez, the victim's brother said, "He loved his son. He was a good brother and a good friend. He was just a good guy. He lived his life the right way."
