Easter event in Fresno puts smiles on kids' faces

FRESNO, Calif.

About 60 students from San Joaquin Memorial High School volunteered at the event. They served lunch and offered fun activities, including face painting and a cake walk. The teens are part of the Junior Ministers of Presence and say their focus is helping the local community.

Alexis Defendis of Junior Ministers of Presence said, "I think it's very important...to have fun and be a kid, and a lot of kids don't have what we grew up with, so it's really important to provide them with the same opportunities."

The students raised enough money to donate all of the food, games, and prizes.
