Fresno Language Project to make history

FRESNO, Calif.

A group of Fresno State students is now putting together a video that could make the Guinness Book of World Records.

Fresno State students, Estevan Gutierrez and Tamar Karkazian are blown away by just how diverse Fresno County is.

Now, they're hoping to showcase all those different dialects in one video.

The two college students are teaming up with three of their classmates to create a clip that contains 88 different languages spoken here. They'll get extra credit for their senior marketing course. But the bigger payoff they say is to set the Guinness World Record for most languages spoken in a single video.

In the past some students have chopped, sliced, and diced their way into the record books by making a giant fruit salad.

Others have built a giant milk carton as a class project. But this class wanted to do something they hope will show off the Valley's strong international roots.
