It happened around 4:20pm at the Aberdeen Apartments in the 9900 block of Richmond near Woodchase. Houston police say officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at the complex and found a male deceased in front of one of the apartment doors.
Witnesses stated they heard several gun shots and then saw the male run across the parking lot before he collapsed.
According to police, it was later learned the man was a suspect wounded while in the process of committing an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The case will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
