Homeowners along the historic Huntington Boulevard in Southeast Fresno are celebrating their 100-year-old trees.

Some of the trees may be even older than that. Eventually, small gold and black signs will be posted explaining the variety of each tree in the area.

Homeowner Penny Raven said, "in fact, when they were planted there wasn't even a street or a house or any plumbing and so they had to use a water truck to water them, and so we're very proud that we do have them still living and looking beautiful.

Valley businesses and residents are invited to sponsor the tree signs for $50 each.

When the signs are installed -sometime in late August - People will be able to read the special messages that are attached.
