Five men are accused of tying two men up and pouring gasoline on them after what investigators describe as a business transaction gone wrong.
At least one of those men is expected to appear before a judge today, facing charges of kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
The incident happened back on Christmas Eve. Investigators say two men showed up to a northwest side warehouse for a business transaction with Nathan Ray Foreman. Something didn't go right, and investigators say the two men were tied up, beaten, tortured, doused with gasoline and burned with a clothing iron.
The men were later shot and thrown from a moving car. Also facing charges is a man who, at the time, was a federal customs agent. Jason Washington's attorney says he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"He has resigned. He is no longer going to be a federal agent and he's preparing to deal with this in court," said Washington's attorney, Paul Doyle.
Investigators say Washington was even in his work uniform at the time. They believe he was at the scene to provide extra muscle.
