Tulare County officials say the levels are one-tenth the level normally safe to drive a boat on the Kings River.

At Lindy's Landing, owners hope the low levels don't hurt business, especially for Memorial Day weekend. Officials say low rainfall and snowpack are to blame for the dismal water flow.

The levels are expected to remain low until early June.

Tulare County officials expect levels to increase in mid-June, when more water is released into the Kings River.
