The blueberry harvest is underway in California

Farmers say they expect the crop to be 10 percent larger than last year. That means a good supply, and good prices for California-grown blueberries in grocery stores.

Farmers were worried about winds in the Northern San Joaquin Valley that could damage fruit and bushes. They also report challenges in hiring enough people to harvest the crop which is usually done by hand.
