The struggling Fresno Pacific women's basketball program is hoping a new head coach will mean improved results on the court.

FPU introduced Lindsey Wilson as its seventh head coach in Sunbird history.

Wilson comes from Eastern New Mexico University and replaces Erin Scholz who had a losing record in her three seasons at the helm.

The new head coach takes over a program has not experienced a winning season since 2007 and hasn't posted a winning conference record since 2002.

This is the challenge Lindsey Wilson is facing.

The Sunbirds record the last three seasons is anything but impressive.

FPU is 26-60 over that span, including a 4-21 record last year in its first season of NCAA Division II and Pacific West Conference play.
