It's that time of year when we crank up the air conditioner. But utility bills can take a steep hike, which many families just can't afford. Now, a local company wants to help out a local family.

Allbritten Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, serving the Central Valley since 1932, will help out one family in need with a home energy makeover. The company will donate materials and labor - a value of up to $15-thousand dollars.

Some of the items that may be included in this makeover project may include help out a local family who may need a new air conditioner, maybe some insulation and air sealing in their home, or new duct work.

General Manager, David Guerra, says, "This is all paid for by the company and volunteered time as well. This is a project that could be worth up to $15 thousand dollars or more, depending on the house."

People can nominate themselves or someone they know to receive this makeover to help lower their energy bills and stay comfortable in their home.
