Researchers develop drought treatment for crops

Researchers with U.C. Riverside say they've developed a potential treatment to help plants during droughts.

It uses a chemical that mimics a plant's hormone that helps it cope with lack of water.

The researchers are currently working with a private company to develop the chemical into an inexpensive treatment for plants under drought stress.
