Breastfeeding Awareness event information

FRESNO, Calif.

Babies First is hosting the 8th Annual Breastfeeding Awareness Walk and Celebration at Roeding park on Saturday.

Last year, organizers say more than 450 moms, dads, and family members participated in the two-mile walk, music, and fun activities. The organization will also be the Fresno site for an event called "The Big Latch On."

It's a national breastfeeding effort aimed to break the record for the most women breastfeeding simultaneously for one minute, across the United States.

The Big Latch On will start at 10:30 a.m. Last year, 37 moms in Fresno participated and organizers say current registrations are almost double that number.
