Enzo went up against hundreds of dogs on the magazine's Facebook page competing in the "I Dream of Being a Cover Dog" contest. He ended up in the top ten with more than 3,800 votes.
The pit bull was left in a West Central Fresno home without food or water and suffered severe mange and weight loss. The suspected owner of the dog, Carlos Marron, is expected in court Tuesday. He faces charges of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Enzo will not only be on the cover of American Dog Magazine, he will also receive his very own full page feature in the American Dog Magazine's fall issue. He will be part of the "Happily Ever After" series.
