This is the 26th anniversary of the event, which was started by the late State Senator Ken Maddy of Fresno. Participants get a chance to listen to different speakers, as well as come to Valdez Hall where they visit more than 150 booths, socialize and learn important lessons.
Event organizers said this year was the third fastest sell out in the event's 26 year history. Oscar and Emmy winning actress Helen Hunt is serving as this year's keynote speaker, along with dozens of other national and local speakers discussing a variety of topics.
The Women's Conference is being held Tuesday at the Fresno Convention Center. ABC30 is a proud sponsor of this event -- and this year, Action News Anchor Liz Harrison will serve as the event's emcee.
