Clovis protestors make push for immigration reform

FRESNO, Calif.

About 100 people gathered for an event, which included performances and speeches to raise awareness about the struggles of undocumented workers.

Their goal is to stop the "Safe Act," a bill currently being considered by the House of Representatives. Supporters say the legislation will improve immigration law enforcement in America. But opponents argue it will hurt the more than 11 million undocumented workers in the country.

"The Safe Act is a piece of legislation in the house right now. It's detrimental to our community," Louis Ojeda, with Fresno Immigrant Youth in Action said.

Protestors are calling on congressman Devin Nunes to help them block the bill.
