Organizers canceled the games because of threats of gang violence between the parents of some of the players. Coaches became worried that something violent could happen at Saturday's big game against the nearby community of Huron.

Instead, the eight to 13-year-olds will be having a small end-of-the-year party to celebrate the season.

The Coalinga Police Department is aware of the game cancellations but says no reports were made to police about the threats.
