Dairy exports see record numbers

U.S. dairy exports are on pace to have a fourth consecutive record-setting year.

New numbers show exports in August totaled $614-million. That's 45-percent higher than a year ago.

The strong gains in August pushed the annual sales ahead of last year, and that is expected to continue until the end of 2013.

Experts say the higher exports were led by increased sales to China, the Middle East, and North Africa.
