The Bulldog Shop breaks record in sales

FRESNO, Calf.

The registers kept ringing. The customers kept coming, and the merchandise kept flying off the shelves at The Bulldog Shop Saturday. Many of the Red Wave faithful took to the store looking to switch up their colors for the game.

"We got a couple of black out shirts. I bought this one this morning, but it was the wrong size so we had to switch it out," one Bulldog fan said.

The Bulldog Shop has broken just about every retail sales record this year, and a new weekly sales record was set this week. The shop has brought in more than $150,000 in sales and when all the numbers are tallied up it could be a $200,000 week.

"This week has been exceptional. We've been busy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and we're breaking all records and it's really exciting," Bulldog Shop Manager Diane Brock said.

Fans shuffled through racks, and looked through inventory to make sure they got the perfect black design to show their team spirit for a nationally televised game. The biggest sellers were the black shirt with the silver silhouette of the bulldog head.

As the Fresno State Bulldogs took to the field in their special blackout game uniforms they were mirrored by a "blackout" stadium. Fans were decked out in game colors and were ready for another win.
