One person shot near the ice rink at Fresno's Fulton Mall

FRESNO, Calif.

The victim ran into a nearby donut shop and that's when police say the suspect continued shooting into the business. No one else was struck by the gunfire, but dozens of people were out on the mall at the time.

Police say the shooting was an isolated incident.

Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin says people heading to the Fulton Mall can expect to be safe.

"We will do everything possible to make sure people know that the area is secure," said Swearengin. "We will have an active, visible police presence at the ice rink for the rest of the time, the ice skating season."

Investigators say the shooter ran off, but they know who he is and they're trying to track him down right now.

The victim, in a strange twist, will be arrested for an outstanding felony warrant. Police say he's 27-year-old /*Arthur Howlin*/.

He actually spoke with Action News last December when he was released from jail following dropped charges for killing his girlfriend.
