Elderly woman critically injured in Fresno house fire

FRESNO, Calif.

Fresno firefighters say they were called to a home near Warren and Fedora just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning. When they arrived, they saw heavy fire coming from the house and got to work right away.

Fire officials said three of the people living in the house were able to get out, but one woman had to be rescued. The rescued woman is listed in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center.

Investigators also said the type of roof structure made the fire difficult to fight.

Fire officials are now trying to determine how and where the fire started. There is no word on the estimated damages to the home.
