Dozens of children and several adults surprised Jim Sutherland by marching to his house wearing Disney inspired costumes and sang Disney theme songs.
Sutherland's friends at the Merced College Foundation learned he wanted to visit Disneyland but couldn't make the trip because of his illness. So instead they brought a piece of the park to him. They even decorated a Christmas tree with homemade ornaments and delivered it to his door.
Sutherland is well known in the community for often singing at patriotic events, so this musical visit was a perfect tribute.
