Dozens gather to say goodbye to a Fresno pastor

FRESNO, Calif.

Pastor Paul Irwin is leaving Fresno's First Armenian Presbyterian Church. He and his family will minister a new church in New York.

Dozens gathered for an appreciation reception and shook hands with the pastor. Irwin has been at the church for more than a year. Irwin said he and his family will always remember the kindness they experienced.

"People have been very kind to us. They allowed us into their hearts quickly when we first arrived. They've shown us a lot of love and respect," Irwin said. "We're feeling very blessed and very connected to this group. We definitely will not forget."

The Irwins have been in California for the past 15 years and say they are moving to the East Coast will take some adjusting, but will be an exciting change. Pastor Billy Greg from Boston will take over as senior pastor on February 1.
