Fresno police arrest man accused of committing 2 crimes in 2 hours

FRESNO, Calif.

Officers arrested Roosevelt Maldonado Friday night. Police say the 23-year-old threatened to kill employees of a party rental store in Central Fresno unless they gave him money.

Maldonado got away with an unknown amount of cash. About two hours later, police say Maldonado struck again.

A customer who was leaving a nearby restaurant reported someone pushing the barrel of a gun against his stomach and demanding money. The customer ran back inside, and officers later tracked down Maldonado in a nearby convenience store.

Authorities say he had a large amount of cash and was identified by victims from both locations.
