Police said a subcontractor hit a 4-inch gas line in the area of Tustin and La Palma avenues at about noon. Crews responded to shut the gas off.
All lanes were blocked on Tustin from the Riverside (91) Freeway to La Palma, police said. The Tustin Avenue off-ramps were also closed. The street closures were expected to last until at least 5 p.m., police said.
Lanes were opened by 4:30 p.m., according to Anaheim Police.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
