Erin Andrews will replace Brooke Burke-Charvet as co-host on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," the network announced Monday.

It was revealed Friday that Burke-Charvet would not be returning to season 18 of "Dancing With The Stars" when she tweeted, "Weird day...Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS...ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season."

Andrews, a sports reporter for FOX Sports, competed on season 10 of "Dancing With The Stars" and placed third with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The network said Andrews will continue to work for FOX Sports as well.

Burke-Charvet had co-hosted the show since season 10 and was also a former contestant, winning season 7 with partner Derek Hough in 2008.

"She's been a wonderful part of the 'Dancing with the Stars' family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team. We'd like to thank Brooke for her years of great service," Conrad Green, executive producer of "Dancing With The Stars," said in a statement.

Season 18 of "Dancing With The Stars" is set to premiere on March 17. The new cast will be revealed on "Good Morning America" on March 4.

KABC-TV Los Angeles, CA contributed to this report.
