2 face child endangerment, weapons charges in Merced

MERCED, Calif.

Gang Violence Suppression officers served a search warrant at a home on La Palma Avenue near La Mirada Drive on Saturday evening. Detectives say five handguns, a shotgun, a rifle, body armor and several hundred rounds of ammunition were in an unsecured area and accessible to the kids who live inside the home.

Pedro Garcia, 36, and Marissa Gonzales, 35, were arrested for child endangerment among other weapons and gang-related charges.
