Patrick Snay of Miami, Florida, was settling an age-discrimination lawsuit and signed a standard confidentiality clause, prohibiting him from talking about the case.
He was just about to close the deal to win the money when he told his daughter about it. She bragged to her 1,200 Facebook friends and the post made it back to the lawyers.
Snay's daughter wrote: "Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT."
Since he violated the agreement, the case was dropped and Snay lost the $80,000 settlement.
