The 43-year-old man -- identified by family as Benito Flores -- was attending a baptism at the Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve. County fire officials say that's when a wave knocked him and two other people out into the water. The other two were able to make it back to shore, but Flores has not yet been found.
Several water rescue crews -- including a Coast Guard vessel sent from Morro Bay -- are still searching for the man.
