Fresno police: Gang member arrested for gun violations

FRESNO, Calif.

Late Saturday night, officers noticed a car parked illegally at Palm and Ferger avenues. When they approached the car, Albert Gonzales got out and started to walk away.

Police caught up with Gonzales and noticed open containers of alcohol in the car. After searching the vehicle, they discovered a loaded .38 revolver under the passenger seat. A records check on the gun showed it was stolen.

Gonzales was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for multiple gun violations. He has prior felony convictions, and police say he is a self-admitted Bulldog gang member with an extensive criminal history.
