Local cowboys and cowgirls headed to the Clovis Rodeo Grounds on Saturday to show off their best ranching skills.

Participants of all ages performed several typical ranching activities for judges, including ranch cutting and team roping and sorting. They were competing for more than $16,000 worth of prizes.

The Clovis Ranch Rodeo is part of the month-long celebration leading up to the 100th annual Clovis Rodeo.

ABC30 is a proud sponsor of the rodeo, which takes place April 24-27.
