A Riverdale man has become the state's newest lottery millionaire.

Isaias Herrera bought a California Black scratch-off ticket at a gas station in Riverdale recently. That ticket turned out to be worth one million dollars.

Herrera says he plans to invest some of the money. He will also help his family, including his wife, who got him to play the California Black scratchers in the first place.

"I don't even know how to play," said Herrera. "The one who got me into it was my wife. She was the one who told me I had even won."

Mohamed Mohamed said, "Actually this $500.00 one belongs to him too. He's been scratching tickets for the last three weeks the same game and he ended up hitting the lucky one."

Mohamed Mohamed is co-owner of the Texaco Star Mart in Riverdale. He won $5,000.00 for selling the winning ticket to Herrera.

Mohamed says he plans to expand and renovate his convenience store with the money.
