Easter Bunny visits Children's Hospital

FRESNO, Calif.

Firefighters and police officers escorted the Easter Bunny for Friday morning's visit to Children's Hospital Central California. They made a grand entrance, arriving on motorcycles and fire engines. They came dressed for the occasion with bunny ears and some even had cotton tails.

As part of the fun, kids also received goodies, including stuffed animals. Parents say this is a great opportunity for their little ones.

"It is really nice. I mean it distracts them from their pain and gets them out of their room a little," said Irene Corrales.

This is the 27th year of the event. Wal-Mart donated all of the toys that were delivered to the patients. The participating agencies include the Fresno Fire Department, Cal Fire, Clovis Police Department and the Clovis Fire Department.
