The victim ended up pinned under the vehicle and died.
Authorities say the man was not wearing a seatbelt. "If the guy was wearing a seatbelt, he probably would be able to get out. Who knows but chances are a heck of a lot better that he'd be able to get out, we can help him upright his truck and he'd be driving home," said Sgt. Ed Jacobs, California Highway Patrol.
Authorities say it's too early to tell if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
