Bakersfield off-duty officer injured during shooting at Las Vegas concert

The Bakersfield Police Department said that several of their off-duty officers were attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival when a gunman opened fire-- one was hit.

The Police Department said those off-duty officers witnessed the shooting however they were not in a position to return fire.

We know that one of those officers was hit by a bullet and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but it is unclear where that officer was it.

The Nevada County Sheriff's Office said at least 50 people have been killed and more than 400 injured.

The Police Department said they will be releasing the name of the officer injured once things in Las Vegas are more stable.
