FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people are being treated in the hospital after being sickened when pepper spray was used in a Fresno County McDonald's restaurant.

It happened about 3 a.m. Wednesday on Clovis and Ashlan. Officials say two people were arguing in the restaurant when someone used the spray.

No employees were hurt or became ill. The restaurant was closed for awhile to let it air out.

NOTE: Witnesses at the scene said Bear Spray was used, however the Fresno County Sheriff's Office later said it was pepper spray.
