If you are used to getting your prescriptions at any hour of the day in Northwest and Southeast Fresno, your options just got a little more difficult.

Walgreens Pharmacies at Palm and Shaw, and at Kings Canyon and Clovis Avenues are no longer 24 hours.

Action News reached out to Walgreens to ask why and received the following statement:

"From time to time we adjust an individual store's hours of operation to best meet customer demand. We've adjusted the pharmacy hours at two stores in the city: 1016 W. Shaw Ave. and 626 S. Clovis Ave. The store hours at both locations remain 24 hours, and the pharmacy hours are now 8am-9pm Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm Sat, and 9am-5pm Sun.", Allison Mack Sr. Specialist, Media Relations.

According to their company bio, Walgreens is one of the largest drugstore chains in the U.S., with more than 8,000 stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Walgreens was found with a single store Chicago in 1901.
