Broken Arrow Western Wear in Visalia to close
A long time store that's been a landmark for decades is closing its doors.

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- The owners of Broken Arrow Western Wear on South Mooney Boulevard are retiring. Richard and Janice McWilliams say after running the store for 34 years, they're ready to spend more time with their grandchildren.

The store has been in Visalia for 62 years and has been a favorite of those looking for cowboy boots, belts and other western clothing.

The McWilliams family says they'll have some good sales over the next two months as they try to get rid of inventory.

"Our main goal in this business was customer service," said Janice McWilliams.

"We had a very loyal following and we really appreciate our customers over the years. That's going to be the hardest part about leaving -- our employees and our customers. We're going to miss that part. We'll see how I handle it," said Richard.

You might know the Broken Arrow by "Lucky"-- the 50-pound fiberglass horse that stood on the store's roof for decades. Lucky has been stolen, and returned three different times.
