Officials break ground on new Old Town Clovis building
The building will have an Old Town look and it'll be home to a realtor, right at Centennial Plaza, which is getting a whole new look.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The city of Clovis is growing from the inside out.

With their shovels in the dirt, city officials broke ground Saturday on new development in Old Town.

The building will have an Old Town look and it'll be home to a realtor, right at Centennial Plaza, which is getting a whole new look.

"Right now, Old Town Clovis continues to go through a renaissance south of 5th Street," Clovis mayor Nathan Magsig said. "As we like to call it, we see more and more investment and development taking place in the Old Town area."

The city is also taking part in an architectural challenge, encouraging builders to include what they call parklets.

They're little walkable spaces that'll attract people to sit and stay a while.
