MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Make-A-Wish Foundation, along with several other local businesses, surprised Brody Ferguson with a restored car.

Brody is battling a form of bone cancer that caused him to lose his right foot. More recently, he was told cancer had spread to his lungs.

Despite the struggles, Brody went to compete in the 2017 Paralympics. In his speech, he acknowledged a friend who is also facing cancer and thanked everyone for making his dream car possible.

"It's a dream come true. I can take it to all the car shows I want, and really show it off. It looks fantastic. Everything I wanted it to look like," said Brody Ferguson, Make-A-Wish recipient.

Brody is currently on new medication and will have his next scan in July.
